OMC equips its homes with an array of amenities such as 24-hour emergency maintenance, covered garages, major appliances (such as washers, dryers, refrigerators, stoves and dishwashers) and central air conditioning. One of the great things about living in Hawaii is that you don't need central heating! Cable and high-speed Internet service is available but not guaranteed. A maximum of two pets (dogs and cats) per household are allowed, but check with your community to inquire about any possible breed restrictions.
The 13 OMC communities are spread over three locations on the island: Aiea, Pearl City and Kailua. All locations offer access to excellent schools, shopping and entertainment. Depending on the community you live in, MCBH and other basic amenities should be no more than 30 minutes away. Oahu is large compared to the other Hawaiian islands—it's the third largest in area, in fact—but it's about 100 miles to drive around the entire island. Whatever you need, whether it's retail, entertainment or business, it's never far away.
Specific community amenities at OMC properties will vary, but some potential highlights include playgrounds, basketball courts, splash pads and dog parks. There are residential activities throughout the year, and if you want to host an event, community rooms are available free of charge.
Some of these communities may have special rental offers when you sign a lease on a certain date. They offer a pay-as-you-go lease, meaning there are no upfront costs or security deposits.

Marine Corps Base Hawaii (MCBH) is one of a total of 11 military bases in Hawaii and it is an amazing place. It is a continuation of the Marine Corps' historic role in Hawaii that began in 1904. Commissioned under its former name in 1918, it was a naval air station in 1941 when it was shipped to the United States, prior to the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor. World War II.
The presence of the United States Marine Corps (USMC) continues from the 1950s to the present. The base, surrounded by the natural beauty of Hawaii, is now home to several USMC squadrons and naval detachments.
MCBH is on the island of Oahu. It is not the largest of the Hawaiian Islands, but it is the most populated. The island offers beautiful beaches, sea activities, hiking trails, restaurants, shopping and attractions in urban and rural surroundings. Naval Base Kaneohe is located on the windward or west side of Oahu along Kaneohe Bay. Protected by the majestic Koolau mountain range, the tranquil, crystal blue bay is an iconic place to work or live.

Although most locals refer to MCBH as the Kaneohe Marine Corp base, it is actually located in both the cities of Kaneohe and Kailua and may actually represent the border between the two cities. It can be reached from the Honolulu area via the H-3 and Likelike scenic highways, which are unofficial tourist attractions. The base zip code is MCBH zip code 96734, which is technically in Kailua. A military ID card and a vehicle license are required to enter through the gate.
The peninsula where MCBH is located is surrounded by the sea on three sides, so there are beaches! The four beaches within MCBH's boundaries have both calm and rough water, as well as camping and lodging facilities.
Two beaches have lifeguards. The cove also has a sandbar, where many like to pull out their pontoon boats and spend the day. There are beautiful, quiet beaches within minutes of MCBH, especially at Kailua.
Marine Corps Community Services Hawaii provides information on the base's many shopping, entertainment, fitness, dining and other amenities. All the usual Aadhaar services and facilities are also there, including a school liaison officer. Start with information and context for orientation. Of course, there is a shop and several exchange offices in the base. There is also a golf course and practice area!
